Oakland Ice Center Managed by Sharks Ice offers a wide variety of skating programs for all ages and ability levels. Our group lessons are structured to teach beginning skaters through more advanced skaters. Group instruction includes a 30-minute class, 30-minute supervised practice the same day, class certificate and achievement badge.

To maximize your enjoyment in the sport, we recommend following the class progression below. This progression insures that skaters have the necessary skills to succeed at higher levels. Skaters can get more information or register online for each class listed below by simply clicking on the class title.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents/Caregivers are not allowed on the ice during the lesson/practice time.

Online registrations accept credit cards only. Registrations using checks or cash can be made at the rink anytime.

On the first day Students should arrive at least 30 (thirty) minutes before class.
The first Saturday of a series is always our busiest and there will be lines at the cashier’s desk.

If possible it is recommended that new students skate one time before their lesson to become accustomed to the ice and determine the proper size of skates.

All Skating Class students (Children and Adults) should wear warm clothing, gloves and clothes that allow them to move easily on the ice. Helmets are always welcome, especially for children six and under

PLEASE NOTE: Parents/Caregivers are not allowed on the ice during the lesson/practice time.

Parking ---- When you check in you will receive a parking pass. While you are taking time to go through the check in process do not leave your car in the lot or at a meter without putting money in the meter first.
