Graffiti Camp for Girls

Presented by the Oakland Ice Center and Girl Mobb

September 28-October 9

Monday through Friday, 4-6pm

The Oakland Ice Center Operated By Sharks Ice, in collaboration with Girl Mobb, is excited to offer a two-week graffiti camp JUST FOR GIRLS, ages 12 through 17.

A lucky group of girls will create and execute a mural on the San Pablo Avenue wall of the Oakland Ice Center. Campers will participate in every aspect of the project, from planning the mural, learning painting techniques (including use of the a respirator), and actually painting the mural. No prior experience necessary!

We are seeking teenage girls with a passion for artistic expression who would like to contribute to the amazing landscape that is evolving in downtown Oakland. Don’t wait to sign up for this one-time opportunity!  The camp is limited to eight girls, and spaces will go quickly.

As with all of our current camp programs, we are strictly adhering to health and safety protocols in conformation with Alameda County guidelines.  A respirator will be provided to each student for use when spray painting, masks will be required at all times during camp hours, and social distancing will be maintained.

(As always, the Oakland Ice Center is committed to including all of our community, regardless of economic status.  Please feel free to inquire about our scholarship programs.)
