ENROLLMENT IS ON GOING AND WILL BE PRO RATED (this class runs until December 15. No class Thanksgiving weekend.)

Fall Series Learn to Skate

The Oakland Ice Center is now offering Curling lessons for children aged 6-12.

Curling is a sport in which players slide stones across a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four rings. It is related to shuffleboard.

Taught by the enthusiastic curlers from the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club, you will learn the basics of the game, how to throw a rock, how to sweep, and a bit of curling history.

Please bring a pair of clean sneakers; loose fitting, warm clothing and gloves - it can get cold on the ice

*Incorporated into the class lesson fees for the Spring Series will be a parking pass for free access to the new lot at 18^th Street and San Pablo Avenue. This pass will only be valid during your class lesson time. Spaces are first-come, first-serve and are not guaranteed. Passes may be picked up at the front desk on the first day of the class lesson series
